To effectively send anti-smoking sentiments to someone subliminally, the television station of the future might be able to program their signal so that whenever there is footage of tobacco use, a negative adjective or noun could flash across the bottom of the screen. People will unconsciously begin to associate cigarettes with sadness, unhealthiness, etc. Death should not be mentioned because humans unconsciously fixate upon and gravitate towards death. They will want the product more if their unconscious associates it with death.
